Congrats Chicago

So... last night the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup on an overtime goal by Patrick Kane.

On behalf of all Boston Bruins fans everywhere, I would like to thank our original six brothers for doing what we could not: Defeating the Philadelphia Flyers.

If the Flyers had gone all the way to win the cup after the Bruins had them down three games to none it would have made the worst choke in professional sports history that much worse.

Thankfully the Blackhawks came through (where the Canadians didn't... of course) and put the Flyers season to bed.

Congratulations on winning the 2010 Stanley Cup. You deserve it. Enjoy your parade, Chicago.

In other hockey news, the American Hockey League announced that the franchise owned by the New Jersey Devils will be relocating from Lowell, MA to Albany, NY beginning this fall.

Unless another team moves into the Tsongas in their place this spells the end of AHL hockey in Lowell. After years and years of empty stands I would say that it's probably time to call it a loss. However, as a hockey nut living in greater Lowell... this royally sucks.

It doesn't suck as bad as the Bruins blowing a three games to none lead in a seven game playoff series, but it's not too far behind.

Pretty please, some one move into the Tsongas this year? Pretty please? Give us our Lock Monsters back?

Crud.
