I hear that Irene is a pain in the ass.

Hurricane Irene, I mean.

I usually don't let weather forecasts bother me, but I am getting paranoid now.

Shopping list, for between now and Sunday:

• Flashlight batteries
• Maybe a new flashlight or two
• Candles?
