Swift River

We've driven along the Kancamangus highway a bunch of times and I still have no clue how to spell it.

We generally just stick to the leaf peeping and don't venture off the road other than the scenic pull outs.

On the way to our Maine vacation we detoured around route 95 and found ourselves on the Kanc. We tried stopping at a couple of locations to see what goes on off of the road but the parking was always nuts. We managed to stop at one spot where we could cool our heels in the Swift River. At least I think it was the Swift River, who knows.

Anyway... we HAVE to go back and hit a few more of those places before the summer ends. Consider it a mission. It was gorgeous there!
