Hey, good news! The Yankees lost last night. Maybe there is justice in the universe, huh? Granted the series is tied one game each, but it's a best of three now and I become more of a Tigers fan with each pitch.
Want to know what is difficult? The Slim Fast diet, that's what. It's a simple concept and I do very well with it during the week. It's the weekend where it gets rough. We went to a birthday party and had a big lunch on Sunday. On Saturday we did slightly better than fast food by eating lunch at Fudruckers. There are so many temptations. There is a gas station very close to us where candy can be had easily. There is a Dunkin Donuts even closer. Oh and there are 21353 supermarkets on route 28 just over the town line in Salem, NH.
Monday through Friday it's easy to stay motivated when you eat lunch and breakfast at your desk. Saturday and Sunday, however, it's just too easy to stray. We're going to have to work on that next weekend, but it will be even more difficult because it's a kid weekend. We have to feed the two of them and somehow manage to not feed ourselves? It's going to be sticky, I tells ya.
This past weekend was a three day weekend for me, thanks to my step-daughter's invite to her school's special friends day. This week it's back to the grind for the full week. What can I focus on to make me feel better about the calendar?
One thing...
Thursday is opening night for the Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins. Let the title defense (or the championship hangover, whichever) commence!
Go Tigers!
Go Rangers!
Screw You Yankees!
Screw You Rays!
GO BRUINS!
