Wild Kingdom!

We live in a veritable wild kingdom!

After hearing rumors, Jen was the first of us to see a deer. She saw it in the neighbor's yard last night.

Today I happened to look out the window and saw a whole family of them! I got my camera, took a few through the bedroom window, and then went outside and took more. I can't tell which is which, but I don't care. While I was outside they saw me (I didn't get close at all) and stared at me as I took pictures, then moved a few steps along the house to get a different angle, and took some more, ect ect. One of them took a step toward me, but I bravely stood my ground. Yeah.

Pictures!

  1. Sherm says put a little corn out there, maybe a little salt (like a salt like type thing), maybe some peanuts, and they'll come back. He says sometimes they can get pretty friendly. I had an email not long ago that showed deer in someone's yard who came right up to the people! If I can find it I'll forward it to you.
