The Boston Bruins beat the Carolina Hurricanes today to clinch a spot in the playoffs. Effectively earning the right to get eliminated in four games by either Buffalo, Washington, Pittsburgh, or New Jersey.
They opened the second period by scoring three shorthanded goals on a single penalty kill. I have never seen anything like that before. I don't know if it's ever happened before, but it sure was cool.
